Indigenous Voices Award 2024

Mohawk writer Alicia Elliott and Treaty 1 territory-based writer Brandi Bird are among this year's winners of the Indigenous Voices Awards (IVAs). Elliott takes home the award for published prose in English for her novel And Then She Fell. Bird won the award for published poetry in English for her collection The All + Flesh.

Toronto Book Awards 2024

Established by Toronto City Council in 1974, the Toronto Book Awards honour books of literary merit that are evocative of Toronto. The 2024 awards offer $15,000 in prize money: finalists receive $1,000 and the winning author is awarded $10,000.
