The singing sword (A dream of eagles. #2.)

By Jack Whyte

Canadian fiction, Fantasy, Historical fiction

Human-narrated audio, Automated braille

Summary

In AD 395, the colony that will one day be known as Camelot is threatened when the Roman armies are withdrawn from Britain and the land is open to Saxon invasion. Caius Britannicus and Publius Varrus, both former Roman officers,… remain in the colony to fight its invaders and the moral degeneracy that now exists. Their cavalry is armed with a newly designed sword, named Excalibur, as they fight for their new society. A fortress is built, and they develop the government that will become the Round Table and its Knights. Sequel to "The Skystone" (DC12929). Followed by "The eagles' brood" (DC13668). 1993. (A dream of eagles ; 2)
