The ViCLAS (Violent Crime Linkage Analysis System) database was a first - an adaptation of the techniques used by FBI psychological profilers folded into a comprehensive, cross-referenced data bank to track serial predators. Within months of its introduction, ViCLAS contributed… to successful outcomes in a number of cases, including the Bernardo/Homolka murders.
