Summary
As Tito's rule in Yugoslavia draws to a close, life in Egon's grimy foundry town consists of dismal inhabitants wearing tattered clothes, bumming cigarettes from one another. Is it any wonder that running out of his one luxury - Cartier… perfume - brings Egon to the edge? A man will do anything for his perfume, even if it means cheating a young Gypsy girl of her Playboy, blackmailing a lascivious preacher, publishing an atrocious poet, or conspiring with a band of uncouth cowboys.
