Summary
Nile Nightingale is startled by a pickup barrelling down the lane, which comes to a stop beside a church cemetery. Nile had hoped for some peace when he fled the addictions, exhaustions, and legal problems of home by heading north,… illegally, into Quebec's Laurentian Mountains. Instead he finds that the driver has dumped the bloodied but breathing body of a teenage girl, and against his better judgement, Nile resolves to treat her wounds and find those who left her for dead. Some strong language, some descriptions of sex, and explicit descriptions of violence. c2010.
