A stack of hardcover books to the left of the frame with a black arrow pointing to an Envoy Connect device. It is a blue and black rectangular device with 6 buttons in the bottom half of the device and the round speaker on the top half.

CELA launched the Envoy Connect audiobook service in May, and since then, hundreds of our users have begun using these portable devices to read audiobooks from CELA. And now, we are delighted to offer a new element of the Envoy Connect Service. CELA users can now order an Envoy Connect preloaded with up to 12 items from their bookshelf. The device will be ready to read right out of the box!

The Envoy Connect comes with a host of benefits and features.

  • The Envoy Connect is an easy-to-use device with a simple interface.
  • It is about the size of a deck of cards and has a solar power charging panel on the back, so it is perfect if you are on the go.
  • It is very affordable, making it a great option for folks who need their first player, or who need a second portable option.
  • It holds up to 8 GB of books – enough room for 12 or more CELA titles.
  • It offers users flexibility, allowing them to reload their books independently using the free CELA Connect software, or to send the device to CELA to be reloaded.
  • Now you can choose to receive it preloaded with your books or have it shipped right away and load your books yourself.
  • The Envoy Connect comes with a USB charging cord, a pair of ear buds, and a postage paid envelope to easily return to CELA for book loading.

The Envoy Connect would make a great holiday gift for readers who require an affordable or low-tech device, or those who want a small inexpensive dedicated audiobook reader.

When you order, simply indicate you would like your Envoy Connect to be preloaded, and give permission for CNIB SmartLife to share your contact information with us so we can add the device to your account and load your books on the device.

If you’d like to learn more about the Envoy Connect check out our information page on our website where you will find users guides, links to tutorials and videos or read our recent blog posts.
