In the end, the truth about Wonka is revealed. Why did he host such a competition among kids? The book has all the answers. Dahl was inspired by his own experiences with chocolate companies. At the time When he was in Britain, famous chocolate companies used to send gift boxes to kids in order to complete surveys and win over the market competition. The sweet world of chocolates and the politics that goes into its manufacture is depicted humorously by Dahl through poignant characters. This book was later adapted into feature films as well as documentaries. The movies were very well received by the audience. Kids between the ages of seven to eleven will enjoy this book.
