Summary
Blind from birth, Caitlin Decter receives a signal-processing retinal implant to see, but the technology also gives her the ability to "see" the digital data streams of the World Wide Web, and an extraordinary presence within it. Called Webmind, it… befriends Caitlin and wants to learn about her world, but Watch - the secret government agency that monitors the Internet for threats to the United States - also discovers it. Watch is convinced that Webmind represents a risk to national security, but Caitlin believes in Webmind's capacity for compassion - and she'll do anything to protect her friend. Strong language. 2010.
