William "Buffalo Bill" Cody was a bullwhacker, cattle driver, and American Indian fighter on the Great Plains of the 1850's, all before becoming a teenager. He claimed to have killed 5,000 buffalo and to have ridden with the Pony Express.… Later, he started his Wild West Show - part circus, part rodeo, part history - that played across the United Stares and Europe for three decades.
