Summary
In an art gallery in Washington, DC, Rebecca is accosted by a ghost - O-Ei, the daughter of the great Japanese printmaker Hokusai, who wants her rightful place in history. She recounts a life of living amongst actors, novelists, tattoo… artists and prostitutes, travelling, dodging spies, and making exquisite pictures. Rebecca is left to discover why and how O-Ei vanished from her own time, and from history. Some strong language, some descriptions of violence, and some descriptions of sex. c2010.
