It is full of simple but profound words inspire by the word of God. As you sit reading this book you will feel a sense of quietness and peace, for these words speak to all of God’s children whatever their age, as the case may be they are written in a monthly format. And they can be read again and again, each day finding some fresh inspiration from the words and the scriptures. “But Jesus called the parents to him, saying, allow the little children to come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of God. Truly I say to you, whoever does not accept and receive and welcome the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18 verse 16-17.On Wings of Words: The Extraordinary Life of Emily Dickinson

principles to bring psychological healing have fallen short of the deeper needs of many of these hurting people. This has been true for several reasons. Most models of Biblical change have been limited to either confronting and demanding change, or acting and practicing new Biblical ways of doing things. These methods do not deal with the entire person: will, spirit, past experiences, mind, perceptions, needs, motivation, actions, and emotions. They do not take into account the complexity of the human heart and the interactions between its members. This book addresses these problems through the use of the "Train of Psychological Wholeness," a concept developed from Proverbs Chapter Three. It provides an understanding of a large number of these principles, a detailed method for developing counseling plans using Biblical principles, and counseling methods and techniques for their application in order to bring about dynamic psychological healing. This book explains 44 of the most important principles in the Bible from a psychological perspective and provides an in-depth method for developing counseling plans using biblical principles for common psychological problems. This material includes a discussion of 13 classical methods of biblical change, a new model for understanding the human heart and techniques for applying biblical principles in counseling. It includes counseling plans and methods for treating anxiety, panic attacks, obsessions, compulsions, sexual abuse, domestic violence, marital problems, and Borderline Personality Disorder. The unlikely true story of why we know the name William Shakespeare today, and the four-hundred-year-old book that made it…
possible.Four hundred years ago, no one bothered to write down the exact words of stage plays. Characters&’ lines were scribbled on small rolls of paper (as in, an actor&’s role) and passed around, but no master script was saved for the future. The main reason we&’ve heard of Romeo, Juliet, Hamlet, and Shakespeare himself is that a group of people made the excellent choice to preserve the plays after the Bard died. If they hadn&’t created the book known as the First Folio, Shakespeare and his works would surely have been lost to history. Part literary scavenger hunt (the search for every existing First Folio continues today), part book trivia treasure trove, and part love letter to Shakespeare, this behind-the-scenes, sharply funny true story is an ideal introduction to the Bard and his famous plays.Spirit and Life: Religious Education Directory for Catholic Schools Key Stage 3 Book 2

By Breanna J. McDaniel. 2024
From an award-winning author and illustrator comes this picture book biography about beloved librarian and storyteller Augusta Braxton Baker, the…
first Black coordinator of children’s services at all branches of the New York Public Library. Before Augusta Braxton Baker became a storyteller, she was an excellent story listener. Her grandmother brought stories like Br’er Rabbit and Arthur and Excalibur to life, teaching young Augusta that when there’s a will, there’s always a way. When she grew up, Mrs. Baker began telling her own fantastical stories to children at the 135th Street branch of the New York Public Library in Harlem. But she noticed that there were hardly any books at the library featuring Black people in respectful, uplifting ways. Thus began her journey of championing books, writers, librarians, and teachers centering Black stories, educating and inspiring future acclaimed authors like Audre Lorde and James Baldwin along the way. As Mrs. Baker herself put it: “Children of all ages want to hear stories. Select well, prepare well and then go forth and just tell.”Cambridge Primary English Learner's Book 4 Second Edition

Healing for these problems requires more than a few words of advice or some solution-focused therapy; it requires a life transformation. Unfortunately, most pastors and church counselors do not have in-depth Biblical answers for these complex problems. Consequently, most churches refer these problems to counselors outside of the church who rely primarily on secular counseling methods and theories, or psychoactive drugs. What is needed is a simple, yet in-depth, Biblical method for overcoming these complex problems that can be easily applied by pastors and counselors within the church. This book provides just such a method with a new narrative Biblical approach for therapy and in-depth answers for counseling many of these difficult problems. This new method is developed directly from the Bible, relies on the overall direction of the Holy Spirit, and is based on Biblical truth derived from the stories of the lives of well-known Biblical characters. The final conclusion of this book is that God has provided in His word, through the types and shadows interpretation of these stories, all that is required to meet these desperate needs. This book contains many new insights including a comprehensive plan for Christian counseling derived directly from the Bible, in-depth biblical answers for complex psychological problems based on the types and shadows interpretation of biblical stories, models and quick reference guides for counseling 20 of the most difficult problems in the church today including inferiority, abandonment, dysfunctional families, setting boundaries, six types of codependency, abuse, four types of addictions, bitterness, depression, grief, and suicide.Once I Was You: A Memoir (Atria Espanol Ser.)
