Summary
In July 1974, Cyprus was subject to a military coup directed by the dictators in Greece and a full-scale military occupation by the army of Turkey. There were mass killings and deportations and the island was partitioned. The author argues… that the catastrophe was brought about not so much by the Cypriots themselves as by four foreign powers - Turkey, Greece, Britain and the U.S.A. 1984.
