By Martin Brown. 2011
In 50 days, you can change your life forever. You can create the healthy habits that will keep you lean…
for life. And, you can do it all in just seven weeks and a day. Most importantly, you can put an end to yo-yo dieting, and the unhealthful cycle of getting in and out of being fit.Getting fit -- and staying fit -- is considered by most of us to be a wonderful but unattainable goal. Fit in 50 Days disproves that idea. This is a step-by-step, day-by-day program that is rooted in the common sense realities of how we live now. In each passing year, as we continue to consume more calories and have fewer physical demands put upon us, inevitably our weight will rise. The simple arithmetic of calories consumed and calories burned comes easily. The really tough part is finding lasting solutions to this problem.Even with the defeat of once deadly infectious diseases, overall health outcomes in today's culture are abysmal. Through technology and modern medicine we have managed to expand life spans, but our health spans, the years we experience general good health, are considerably shorter: a situation that most of us would agree is the least desirable, living a longer unhealthy life. You can take control of your own health now with this easy-to-adopt and easy-to-follow fitness plan. It is the single most important thing you can do to help assure that in the future you will not be one of the living sick. And if your health is already compromised Fit in 50 Days can be an essential tool to restoring your health and vitality. This program creates a framework in which you can shape your own specific performance level. That's why Fit in 50 Days works for all ages and stages of life.Remember that lasting fitness is far more than a New Year's resolution. Diet and exercise are of equal importance and that is why Fit in 50 Days devotes equal attention to both subjects. Successful diets that allow you to quickly lose extra pounds should never be a detour around your usual diet. Lasting fitness is a habit, and in just 50 days, this program will change your view of diet and exercise forever. If you're ready for a new and successful direction, then you're ready for the daily lessons of Fit in 50 Days. If you thought that lasting weight loss was not possible, you're in for a wonderful surprise. You'll be equally amazed that with focus and simple exercises your body will quickly begin to improve and strengthen. Today, whether you're twenty-one or seventy-one, there's a good chance you have not taken full advantage of the marvelous gift that is your body. Fit in 50 Days will change all that as you learn to leave bad dietary habits behind, grow stronger and more flexible, reset your health priorities, and experience the joy that comes when you feel yourself growing stronger with each passing day.If you're ready for this journey, buy Fit in 50 Days NOW and claim the more active life and better health you deserve.Who Was Alexander the Great?

presents his kingship in a radical new light. Through detailed case studies of Shropshire, Warwickshire and Kent, Caroline Burt examines how Edward's governance at a national level was reflected in different localities. She employs novel methodology to measure levels of disorder and the effects of government action, and uncovers a remarkably sophisticated approach to governance. This study combines an empirical examination of government with an understanding of developing political ideas and ideological motivation and contributes towards a greater understanding of the development of local government and politics in England in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Edward emerges as a king with a coherent set of ideas about the governance of his realm, both intellectually and practically, whose achievements were even more remarkable than has previously been recognised.YOU(r) Teen: Losing Weight

By Donald E. Chipman. 2005

conquest and were later acknowledged by the Spanish victors as reyes naturales (natural kings or monarchs) who possessed certain inalienable rights as Indian royalty. For their part, the descendants of Moctezuma II used Spanish law and customs to maintain and enhance their status throughout the colonial period, achieving titles of knighthood and nobility in Mexico and Spain. So respected were they that a Moctezuma descendant by marriage became Viceroy of New Spain (colonial Mexico's highest governmental office) in 1696.Medicine and the Saints: Science, Islam, and the Colonial Encounter in Morocco, 1877-1956.
By Ellen J. Amster. 2013
The colonial encounter between France and Morocco took place not only in the political realm but also in the realm…
of medicine. Because the body politic and the physical body are intimately linked, French efforts to colonize Morocco took place in and through the body. Starting from this original premise, Medicine and the Saints traces a history of colonial embodiment in Morocco through a series of medical encounters between the Islamic sultanate of Morocco and the Republic of France from 1877 to 1956. Drawing on a wealth of primary sources in both French and Arabic, Ellen Amster investigates the positivist ambitions of French colonial doctors, sociologists, philologists, and historians; the social history of the encounters and transformations occasioned by French medical interventions; and the ways in which Moroccan nationalists ultimately appropriated a French model of modernity to invent the independent nation-state. Each chapter of the book addresses a different problem in the history of medicine: international espionage and a doctor’s murder; disease and revolt in Moroccan cities; a battle for authority between doctors and Muslim midwives; and the search for national identity in the welfare state. This research reveals how Moroccans ingested and digested French science and used it to create a nationalist movement and Islamist politics, and to understand disease and health. In the colonial encounter, the Muslim body became a seat of subjectivity, the place from which individuals contested and redefined the political. The Prostate Health Program
By Max Gomez, Daniel Nixon, The Reference Works. 2008
What foods should you eat if you want to keep your prostate healthy? How does sexual activity affect the health…
of your prostate? What are ways you can prevent prostate cancer? What should African-American men know about prostate cancer? What are the best alternatives to radiation and surgery in treating prostate cancer? What are the symptoms of an unhealthy prostate? These are some of the many important questions that are answered by Dr. Daniel W. Nixon, one of America's premier cancer research institute leaders, and Dr. Max Gomez, the charismatic health commentator whose reports are aired on NBC television stations nationwide. The authors not only provide indispensable guidance in cancer prevention but also offer a dynamic, new noninvasive treatment of prostate cancer. Packed with information, The Prostate Health Program explains in clear, simple language the link between obesity and prostate cancer, the difference between an enlarged prostate and a diseased one, the causes of frequent urination and pain, and the specific prostate problems pertaining to gay men. Drs. Nixon and Gomez offer a user-friendly plan of diet, exercise, and behavioral change that men can easily incorporate into their lives. The authors explain why aggressive treatment, such as radiation and surgery, is often unnecessary, less effective, and more dangerous -- often leaving men incontinent and impotent -- than other treatments. The cornerstones of this unique program are the Prostate Health Pyramid and the Transition Diet, both of which were created specifically for this book and are the ultimate tools in prostate cancer prevention, control, and treatment. First, the foods that protect the health of the prostate are identified; then, food changes are introduced slowly for more effective and long-lasting reform of eating habits. Best of all, quick and easy recipes created by chefs at the Culinary Institute of America provide a menu that is healthy and delicious. With its combination of cutting-edge research and highly respected, world- renowned authors, The Prostate Health Program is the definitive defense against a deadly disease. The Greek Yogurt Diet
